| She was staring at me between the bars of her cage. "Age: 1 year, Breed: terrier-mix." Her eyes expressed fear but her tail wagged. I was seeing this dog because my wife and I had lost our beloved Sweetie earlier in the year. The loss resulted in our volunteering at the animal shelter, the animal shelter where this dear animal was focused on me. She needed a home, and we needed her. A quick meeting, a few rubs and we put her into the back of our van.
We brought her home, we named her Holly, and it's been an adventure,every day!
